Happy Birthday Dad...



Hey Ya'll and Welcome Back 💞

For today's blog post it is all about a very special person.

Today is my amazing dads birthday.  He deserves a day that is all about him.  I know that it is going to be hard to want to celebrate today.  When dad and I think about today it is hard for us to want to be happy.  It isn't because it is dads birthday but a reminder of the hardest day of our lives.

I want this to be a happy post though.  Will try my best dad to not make you cry!

Dad I can't tell you how blessed and thankful I am to have you as my dad.  Today we celebrate another year of your life.  I feel like you deserve a day that is all about you.  Dad you always put others before yourself.  You are selfless and have one of the most caring hearts.  

I think back to last Friday and Saturday.  In so many ways I feel like mom was sending you an early birthday gift.  From the ultimate UA tour to attending an Alabama Football game (in the lower bowl lol).  


Getting to watch your face light up and to see you smile those two days made me so happy.  How many people can say they have been able to be in Nick Saban's office.  Definitely a gift from mom.  She knows the love you have for Alabama and made it her duty to give you the ultimate birthday present.  

Also getting to attend your first SEC Alabama Football game.  Another memory I will hold onto for forever.  

I just want you to know how proud I am of you.  You have been through so much in the past few years, but you continue to put a smile on your face.  It is amazing how you keep putting on a brave face and continue to live each day.

Update on Mom

Hey Ya'll and Welcome Back 💞 Todays blog post was not easy to write but with permission from mom she has allowed me to share a moment that I pray no one ever has to face. August 15, 2017 a day that seemed like any other day.  Mom and I were on our way to the cancer center.  While I was pulling into the parking garage mom gets a phone call.  The call was from her radiation oncologist informing her of a stat MRI.  We walk into the cancer center like all the other times we have.  She gets her lab work and we walk over to her little pod waiting for treatment.  The nurse comes over and informs us that they needed to start an iv for the MRI.  I began getting a little anxious due to the urgency the nurses and doctor had.   Mom has been very unstable and weak the past couple of weeks.  Walking has become a struggle for her and it just seemed like mom was moving backwards towards recovery.  We place mom in a wheelchair and I wheel her down to the outpatient imaging.

The Past Month...

Hey Ya'll and Welcome Back💞 I wanted to explain why I haven't uploaded a blog post in a while.   The picture I chose today is a major part of why I've been so busy.  I began classes again and just wanted to show off the beauty of UA.  My school schedule is Monday through Friday and I'm a full time student.  This semester has been hard for me though.  I love learning and attending my classes, the problem I am having is wanting to be social.  A huge part of me just wants to be able to attend each of my classes and not talk to anyone.  I have changed in a major way ever since receiving the news on mom.  Some of my classes are also challenging for the simple fact what we talk about is something I can relate to.   Earlier this week I really wanted to withdrawal from this semester.  School became overwhelming and I just didn't know how I could get through this semester.  I felt guilty for going to school and be away from mom.  In between and after my cla
